Users have notice that printing out a label wasn’t the price they should be paying. An Ebay user wrote to the editor of EcommerceBytes “Just tried to print mailing labels via PayPal, they have changed and eBay users must print out labels on eBay. In one of my mailings, eBay charge for a $4.75 Priority mail label was $5.24." The answer from eBay spokesperson Johnna Hoff about this issue, was:
"In order to simplify the label printing process for eBay sellers, we are replacing PayPal USPS single shipping label printing with the eBay USPS single shipping label process. The previous process required sellers to log into eBay, and log into PayPal. Now, if sellers want to print a label through PayPal, they can log in to PayPal directly and save time. The view sellers will see will now be the same on both eBay and PayPal. As we roll out this change, we expect to add new features and mailing services on PayPal."
Right! Now it just will make it look smoother for the additional charges. Watch for automatically applied functions, you may just be giving them even more of your money!
Updates on new fees by eBay were created as Shipping Fees. eBay is being judge and jury of what they consider a “fair” shipping charge. A seller once was able to judge for themselves what the cost would be considering they were you one handling the item to ship. Adding or considering a fee for the box or double boxing used, the packing materiel and the shipping cost was known as the shipping fee, but now eBay will judge that for you. I have seen items that take double boxing, extra packing to make sure the item will arrive as it should be. Watch your invoice and you made find the JUDGE just charged you a FINE!.
Welcome eCrater Users!
Have you ever had your store suspended? If so, you know that all of your items for sale are no longer able to be seen if only one item is deemed to be in violation or placed in the wrong category. If you did not know this, just visit the eCrater Fourm and read what members have expressed about this experience.
TheAdService.com will not remove your entire store because of one item that maybe in question. The policy of TheAdService is to hold only the AD in question. We send you an email advising you of the violation. You are able to revise the AD and repost.
The eCrater method is to shut your store down and you will have to contact them to find out the reason.
TheAdService will work with you from the start on any questionable posting. We do not want to take your entire store down and put your business on hold. We don't want your time wasted trying to figure out what happed. We want to keep your business in operation and deal with only the listing in question. You will not have to wait weeks for a responce from us, we give you the information up front and from the start.
We are here to assit you in every way to keep your ADs posted for the public to view. Why be punished for one mistake by closing your store down? We think that is unfair to you and all the time you have spent building your ADs.
WELCOME eBayer's
If you have been a member of the eBay community then you know that about once a month (or so it seems) you are told of a change. Change in prices for posting your item, a change in methods of payments, a change of rules for feedback and so on.
Personally I have experienced all of this myself. When you think you know what the rules, prices and other features of eBay are all about, surprise, it has changed. Now, they do offer some good changes or specials along the way like 5 free listing a month. But does that really help when now you have to pay more for the rest of the listing than you did the week before?
TheAdService has only a few rules and prices to remember. We only have a fee for additional features you can enhance your AD with. Yes, we could be charging you for every option, but then we would be more like all the other sites. Besides, we want to be different. Different is good sometimes!
Welcome Craigslist Posters.
So you have used Craigslist and either had good or bad experiences. It is easy to use, simple and still looks like a very old version of a DOS code display. You only see a line of information, you have to click on it to see the photos, you only are offered 4 photos to upload. Is that what you want when you have more photos of that item you want potential buyers to see?
TheAdService offers you the option to upload 10 photos of your item and at no cost. If you like to see a photo of an item while you are looking for something, don't you think others do as well.
I have used Craigslist and I have had my posting deleted before. Yes you do get a generic email that says it has been removed and there is a small percentage of change it was an accident. Well, that is really nice to know that anyone that opens any listing on Craigslist can delete your posting. Who is to say someone is just getting a kick out of clicking "DELETE" on any listing on Craigslist? Unknown individuals can just have a field day doing this.
TheAdService does not operate in that manner. If any member of the site finds a AD in question they can advise us. We will then look into the AD in question and advise the member if it is found to be in violation or not. We did not create our service to allow just anyone to remover other members ADs.
